Saint-Estèphe Cru Bourgeois

Situation: Situated in Saint Estèphe between the classified growths of Château Cos d’Estournel and Château Montrose

Surface: 32 hectares

Soil: Gravels from the Garonne, with a clayey subsoil

Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon 55%, Merlot 30%, Cabernet Franc 10%, Petit Verdot 5%

Average age of vines: 40 years old

Harvest and Vinification: The grapes are picked up by hand in small baskets to ensure the quality of the harvest, and then are sorted out before getting into the winery. Vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats.

Ageing: Ageing in oak barrels (renewed by third every year) during 12 to 18 months. Fined with egg white.
